Wallcovering Removal and Surface Refinishing for Community Spaces
Outdated wallcoverings are one of the most common interior issues in community clubhouses, lobbies, and amenity spaces. The wallpaper itself may be peeling, faded, or simply out of style, but the real challenge is what's underneath. Removing wallcoverings exposes the substrate, and that substrate almost always needs repair before it's ready for a quality paint finish.
Beacon Painting handles the full wallcovering process: removal, substrate repair, surface preparation, and final finish. We don't stop at stripping the paper, we bring the wall back to a smooth, paint ready condition and apply a durable coating system that holds up in community environments.

Why Wallcovering Removal Requires a Painting Contractor
Many property managers get quotes for wallpaper removal as a standalone service. The problem is that removal is only the first step. Once the paper comes off, the wall surface is rarely ready for paint without significant repair work. If the removal crew doesn't handle repair and painting, you're left with a stripped wall that looks worse than the original wallpaper and requires a second contractor to finish.
At Beacon, we scope the full process, removal, repair, and refinishing, as a single project so the community ends up with a completed space, not a half finished one.
Real Wallcovering Projects
At Yardley Court Clubhouse, we removed existing wallcoverings from the main room, bar area, and restrooms. After removal, we replaced rubber cove base in the restrooms, repaired damaged drywall throughout, skim coated and sanded all wall surfaces to achieve a smooth finish, primed newly repaired substrates, and repainted walls, ceilings, trim, crown, doors, window frames, and cabinetry. The result was a community clubhouse that looked completely updated, not just stripped.

We handle wallcovering projects in clubhouses, amenity spaces, community rooms, offices, and interior common areas for HOA communities and multi family properties. Whether the community wants to remove outdated wallpaper and paint, or install new wallcoverings as part of a design update, we handle the full scope.
